Well-known Buncrana man Adrian McMyler is throwing his hat in the ring for the local elections.
Adrian founded Buncrana Children’s Charity in 2016 with a small committee when he was just 16 years old.
The charity has provided hundreds of thousands of euro in care packages and support to local families over the years.
In 2022 Adrian passed on the leadership baton to move to Australia. Now back home, he remains active across various community groups and volunteering projects.
Announcing his decision to run for Donegal County Council, he said: “I understand Politics is a very tough career, however, with my track record in community work since a young age, helping people all my life, it is clear that Donegal County Council needs a new independent candidate to help Buncrana and south Inishowen. I believe I am the local man able to prioritise people over party and will do my utmost best, and be honest, transparent and accountable and follow a dream I always wanted to do and run as a candidate in this year’s election.”
“I fully understand that people have lot of issues facing them at the moment locally and I know, politicians already elected have been working a lot with the public but all I ask you humbly is to please give me a chance, as a worker, a man who follows things through, a community advocate.
“We have a massive team behind the Mc Myler number 1 campaign and we would love to see more people added to my team. Please get in touch and once again, I genuinely thank you all so much for the support and kindness.”
