Cockhill Celtic have advanced to the FAI Junior Cup Final after a brilliant win over Pike Rovers in Limerick this afternoon.
The all-important goal in this tight contest for Cockhill was scored by Corey McBride in the 23rd minute, smashing home a strike to give the Donegal men a lead they never gave up.
They had to repel a late Pike Rovers assault on goal, a brilliant double save from Harry Doherty in the Cockhill net in injury time helping them secure their spot in an FAI Junior Cup for the first time.
Cockhill Celtic will now play the winners of Gorey Rangers and Villa FC in the Final.
