Curtain closes for horse and pony season at Carndonagh this Sunday

The final meeting of the horse and pony racing season takes place this Sunday at Carndonagh adjacent to the Gaelic grounds with the first off at 2pm.

The weather is sure to make it an ideal afternoon for racing so get along to the venue in good time to save delays.

Local jockeys in action are Jamie Orr, Brody Ferry and Tiernan Mc Gill. There will be Bookmakers and Refreshments on course and children go free.

Patrick Mc Gettigan in recent years came up through the pony ranks just like Brandon Wilkie, Dylan Browne Mc Monagle and so many more Donegal riders. Last Saturday Mc Gettigan had a day to remember when partnering his first winner at the Curragh for his new governor Johnny Murtagh.
