It was all roses on Mother’s Day as Deirdre O’Toole took the honours from Lady Captain Noreen McConnigley with 9 Pars and a super Birdie on the 7th.
Although a little chilly, the rain stayed away, keeping the greens nice and dry.
Speaking of greens, there will be a St Patrick’s weekend Open for Ladies and Gents on the 18 th March.
Any lady wondering if they have qualifying cards in for the Captain’s Day of the Links on the 28 th March, can check the list on the board in the Ladies Locker Room. Three cards or more are required to qualify. Anyone who has 2 cards or less, or indeed joins the links on the Captain’s Day will compete for the non-qualifying prizes. The 2’s pot is divided evenly between anyone who records a ‘2’ on a Par 3, regardless oftheir qualifying status.
Lady Captain Noreen McConnigley and the ladies wish to congratulate and send good wishes to our ladies Hon Secretary Anne Speedie on her appointment as President of Moyola Park Golf Club in Castledawson. It is an incredible recognition of Anne’s dedication and enthusiasm for the game of golf, as she becomes the very first Lady President of Moyola Park Golf Club. Her commitment and experience to ladies golf in Portsalon Golf Club has been in evidence for many years.
Pick up your fixtures list for 2024 in the locker room.
Pack your beloved mats away from St Patrick’s weekend, as we move back to playing on fairways which have benefitted wonderfully from the winter rest.
Keep your eyes open for the Club Matchplay singles competition list in the locker room, as it is hoped to get it up & running in April but that is subject to change at the moment.
