Donegal businessman’s tech firm acquired in major deal

Donegal software developer and entrepreneur Vincent Breslin has announced the acquisition of his ‘powerhouse’ data company, Uplisting, for an undisclosed sum.

Breslin, a native of Donegal Town, co-founded Uplisting in 2017 along with Andy Shipman and Tadej Murovec.

The company provides property management tools to short-term rental entrepreneurs.

The acquisition by AirDNA, a leading short-term rental (STR) data provider in the US, has been described as a pivotal leap.

Uplisting, an Airbnb Preferred Plus software partner, is a property and channel management software built specifically for growing short-term rental businesses on key platforms like Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com.

In 2023 alone, Uplisting processed an estimated $400 million in bookings, empowering users with reliable technology tools that catalyze growth.

Breslin said: “Joining forces with AirDNA opens up a realm of possibilities for the vacation rental market. With our combined wealth of expertise, we are poised to redefine industry standards, driving innovation and delivering enhanced value to all our clients.”

Vincent is the son of Michael and Sian Breslin of Donegal Manor. He learned coding in his teens and after working in London’s tech start-up scene, he developed an online meal planner for his mother’s cookery school, Sian’s Plan, and raised over $500k investment. He is also a former Managing Director of Keepmebooked (acquired by TripAdvisor).
