GAA: St Columba’s, Glenties crowned All-Ireland champs

St. Columba’s Comprehensive School, Glenties are All-Ireland champions.

The school lifted the PPS Senior ‘C’ LIDL Ladies title beating Dunmore Community School on a scoreline of 5-8 to 1-11.

Two goals a piece from Mia Bennett and Jessica Gallagher and another from Eve Boyle Carr set the tone for the Donegal school in Tubbercurry.

Columbas were forced to push right up until the final quarter when they eventually managed to pull away and race away to a nine point victory.

This is Donegal’s first ever Lidl All-Ireland Senior ‘C’ Ladies Football title.

The team is expectd to return to the school this evening at around 7.15pm where huge welcome awaits!
