Six Donegal footballers and one hurler have been nominated for a 2024 Irish News All-Stars award.

The Donegal County Board has confirmed that Setanta’s talented Steven McBride is the only hurling nominee.

The football nominations include Buncrana’s Caolan McGonagle, Michael Langan (St Michael’s), Niall O’Donnell (St Eunan’s) Oisin Gallen (MacCumhaills) and St Naul’s duo Peadar Mogan and Brendan McCole.

The Irish News Ulster All-Stars will be selected by a combination of both public vote and an expert panel.

The winners will be unveiled at a gala banquet at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Belfast, on September 27.
